The Bureau for Behavioral Health would like to share the following information about an upcoming virtual training presented jointly by West Virginia DHHR, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), West Virginia Perinatal Partnership (WVPP), Marshall University Family Medicine, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and WVU:

Clinical Guidance Training for Treating Pregnant & Post-Partum Women with Opioid Use Disorder
Eight hour training offered over two days:
Tuesday and Thursday
November 10th & 12th | 8:30 am -12:30 pm

This Clinical Guidance training:

  • provides comprehensive, evidence-based information to provide the optimal management of pregnant and parenting women with opioid use disorder and their infants
  • highlights West Virginia’s successful approaches for caring for the mother with opioid use disorder and her child
  • aims to help healthcare professionals and patients determine the most clinically appropriate action for a particular situation and informs individualized treatment decisions
