Technical Assistance Grant Request Update |
(See
Amy Elizondo’s email communications Patti sent previously.) Patti Crawford discussed the TA grant. She did not feel that one-time TA grant monies for an annual conference session would comply with the grant. The opportunity for technical assistance is for funding a single event/activity for an association to improve/strengthen activities within the association. Typically, SRHAs work with a consultant who assists with these types of activities. One major requirement is the SRHAs must have a board resolution in place to receive funding. Approved activities for this type of assistance may include the following:
Patti felt this was
something the board needed to look at maybe for the rural community forums.
However, money was only available on a limited basis and usually ranged from
$500 - $3,000. |

The 2006
conference cost was $105,000 for 125 full-time attendees. The budget for the

fee will still include $25 association dues. Negotiations are still in
process with Glade Springs Resort on costs. |
