Mission

The West Virginia Rural Health Association advocates for empowering all West Virginians to advance their quality of life, well-being and access to excellence in rural health care.

The WVRHA is a non-profit, grassroots, member-driven organization. WVRHA's membership includes a variety of people and organizations that are interested in the health of rural West Virginians throughout the state. The WVRHA membership works together to identify the health care concerns of rural West Virginians and to find ways to improve services in our communities.

Goals and activities in this priority area focus on increasing awareness of/involvement in the WVRHA, developing a larger, more diverse membership base and implementing a strong, organizational framework.

Goals and activities in this priority area focus on increasing awareness of/involvement in the WVRHA.

Priority Area 3: Education, Advocacy, and Policy

Goals and activities in this priority area focus on developing the WVRHA as a resource in rural health issues for legislators/policy makers and business/community leaders as well as consumers and healthcare providers.

Priority Area 4: Resource Development

Goals and activities in this priority area focus on developing a growing, financially stable organization.
